Purchase your tickets for RRN early for a discount ($10/family and $4/individual) or at the door ($12/family and $5/individual). Tickets will be for sale during lunch this week (Wed, Thu and Fri).

WHERE CAN YOU ENJOY A FUN EVENING OUT WITH THE KIDS AND SUPPORT THE PTA AT THE SAME TIME……ROADRUNNER NIGHT

Where and when you ask? Friday, March 20th at Farquhar Middle School from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. It will be an exciting night with games, prizes, food, cakewalk, raffle, and silent auction. We hope to see you there!

**We are requesting donations for the cake walk. We need bags of candy, cakes, donuts, anything the dentist hates but we love**

If you can donate an item to the cakewalk, please email Wendy Wykoff at swykoff@verizon.net and let her know what you can give. You can bring the item the night of the event.

Mark your Calendars!!The annual PTA sponsored Roadrunner Night will be held on Friday, March 20, 2009 from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm at Farquhar Middle School. It will be an enjoyable evening for all including, games, prizes, food and a silent auction.

In order to make this a successful event, we need your help. Please consider volunteering and/or donating an item or a service to the silent auction. It is only with the support of our parents and community that we are able to make this event possible.

Roadrunner Night THANK YOU!!!

~ 2008 Roadrunner Night was a whole lot of fun and a great success! Between the carnival and silent auction, we were able to net close to $6000! ~

This night was made possible by so many people who stepped up and helped out! In particular, we would like to thank:

THE COMMITTEE CHAIRS who spent endless hours planning and implementing each part of the event advertising & marketing, gathering & organizing volunteers, ordering & selling tickets, soliciting donations, making sure there was enough food & fun games & great prizes & exciting decorations.

THE LUNCH TIME VOLUNTEERS who spent three afternoons of middle school lunches selling advance tickets.

THE MANY MANY VOLUNTEERS including but not limited to FMS parents & students, Sherwood & Blake students & FMS staff who worked the night of the event with set up, ticket sales, games, prizes, cake walk, food, spirit wear, play ticket sales, silent auction, clean up.

THE LOCAL BUSINESSES who donated items & services for prizes and for our silent auction.

THE FMS ADMINISTRATION, STAFF & BUILDING SERVICE PERSONNEL who helped us in so many ways before, during & after the event. Thanks to all! J We also cannot say enough about the support that we received from Mr. Murphy in promoting the event and making it happen.

THANKS ALSO TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED cake or candy for the event.

We would like to offer our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who played a part in making this event happen and to the many families who came out to enjoy the evening & contributed to the success this fun and first-rate event!

Help Needed for Roadrunner Night Carnival and Silent Auction

ATTENTION FARQUHAR PARENTS! MARK YOUR CALENDARS for Farquhar Middle School’s Roadrunner Night Carnival and Silent Auction! This exciting annual family fun night is scheduled for Friday, April 11, beginning at 7 pm and running through 9:30 pm. and we need your help!

1) We are looking for volunteers to work stations the night of the event. If you would like to volunteer, contact Alice Wood at alicewood@comcast.net.

2) We are looking for donations in the form of gift certificates, products, professional services, complimentary meals, overnight stays, tickets or passes to events or anything else you can think of for the silent auction. If you can help us out here, contact Sherri Tempchin at tempchin@comcast.net.

3) We will need donations for the ever popular Cake and Candy Walk. If you would like to donate, contact Wendy Wykoff at swykoff@verizon.net.

PTA Needs You! Roadrunner Night is coming soon, and currently the chairperson position is vacant. This is a wonderful evening of games, food, and entertainment for all and helps raise funds for the school.
