Last year approximately 50% of the Farquhar community made a contribution. Let’s boost that goal to 75% this year! Money raised through Direct Appeal helps ALL STUDENTS. Last year’s parent body (pta members) elected to use Direct Appeal funds to make key technology acquistions. 3 smart white boards, LCD projectors and an interactive program were purchased to help engage students in learning. Funds were also used to purchase new choral robes and step uniforms. Last year alone, over $16,000 of Direct Appeal funds went directly to the school. This year, Direct Appeal money will be used to provide more technology in the classrooms with white boards & LCD projectors, give students help with academic intervention, upgrade the media center, and developing the whole child through fitness and the arts. Your pta membership allows you a vote on how this money will be spent. Make sure you attend the pta meetings and stay involved!
