SSL Hour Opportunities in April (4/18 & 25)
Here are 2 opportunities for middle school students to earn SSL hours. These projects are SSL approved by MCPS.
Saturday, April 18, 12:30pm to 4pm: Workshop for students aged 10-14. High school students(with adult supervision)will mentor middle school students about the environment and recycling.
This event will be held in the Olney Community Room at the Buffington/RE/MAX building 3300 Olney Sandy Spring Road in Olney. Refreshments will be available.
Saturday, April 25, 9am-1pm: \”Hallowellness Community Clean up.\” Middle school and high school students (with adult supervision)will be cleaning the common areas and planting perennials at the community entrances to Hallowell. Please wear long pants and gloves. Bring gardening tools too. Volunteers will meet at the Hallowell Pool house off of Prince Philip Drive.
Students do not need to be residents of Hallowell to paricipate and earn SSL hours!
