Farquhar Forum is officially “Going Green” in April 2009
The FMS PTA mails The Forum to all Farquhar families approximately eight times during the year. The Forum is also posted on this website and accessed through the “Files” link on our Yahoo Groups. If you are not a member, please consider joining. Just click the link to the left.
This year, beginning in April, The Forum will only be available on-line. You can read The Forum on-line, or print all or part of it at home. Having the newsletter online offers many great advantages:
- Environmentally Friendly! Did you know that printing the newsletter each year uses over 220,000 sheets of paper – that’s over 25 trees we will save every year!
- Saves Money! The PTA spends $2,500 for printing and mailing. By eliminating these costs, an online newsletter will save THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS – yet another way to save our GREEN!
- Timely News! Online is the fastest way to get the news to you! As we finish each edition, you will be able to read it immediately instead of two (2) weeks later after printing and mailing!
So, here is what you need to do. Simply send an email message to farquharpta@yahoo.com and let us know how you want to receive a copy of the Forum either electronically (inbox) or hardcopy (mailbox). If you want to continue receiving a hardcopy in your mailbox, include your name, your student’s name and your mailing address so we can be sure to put you on our mailing list.
