FY 2010 Special Education Staffing Plan Now Available
The Special Education Staffing Plan for FY 2010 is now available online. Local school systems are required by the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) to submit an annual special education staffing plan to the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). The plan must reflect public input and be approved by the Board of Education.The plan includes information on staffing patterns of service providers of special education and related services, the number and type of service providers needed to provide a free, appropriate public education for each student in the least restrictive environment, local
accountability and monitoring, and evaluation of the plan for effectiveness.
