Parenting Workshop – February 27
Parenting Workshop to be Presented at Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center
Montgomery County’s Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center will host “Parenting for Healthy Children,” on Wednesday, February 27 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the center, located at 3300 Briggs Chaney Road, Silver Spring.
The workshop will feature two presentations that instruct parents on how to cultivate healthy nutritional and behavioral habits in their children and how to fight obesity. Rebecca Davis from Family and Consumer Services at the Maryland Cooperative Extension Service, will discuss the role of nutrition and physical activity. Marcus Taylor, who administers the Physical, Healthy and Driven program for the YMCA Youth and Family Services, will talk about body composition and addiction awareness.
No pre-registration is required. The cost for the workshop is $10 for an individual and $15 for a couple.
